{"id":9429,"date":"2018-09-11T16:22:24","date_gmt":"2018-09-11T16:22:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/?p=9429"},"modified":"2018-09-19T15:31:08","modified_gmt":"2018-09-19T15:31:08","slug":"astrobleme-canadien-manicouagan-vu-de-espace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2018\/09\/11\/astrobleme-canadien-manicouagan-vu-de-espace\/","title":{"rendered":"L&#8217;astrobl\u00e8me canadien de Manicouagan vu de l&#8217;espace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Photographi\u00e9 en fausses couleurs par le satellite Sentinel-1A, le crat\u00e8re de Manicouagan s&#8217;est form\u00e9 il y a un peu plus de 200 millions d&#8217;ann\u00e9es.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Il y a 214 millions d&#8217;ann\u00e9es, un ast\u00e9ro\u00efde est venu frapper ce qui est aujourd&#8217;hui le comt\u00e9 de Manicouagan dans la r\u00e9gion de la C\u00f4te-Nord du Qu\u00e9bec, au Canada, environ 300 km au nord de la ville de Baie-Comeau (et 10\u00b0 de latitude plus bas que le <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/05\/12\/zoom-cratere-impact-pingualuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">crat\u00e8re d&#8217;impact des Pingualuit<\/a>, beaucoup plus r\u00e9cent). Il s&#8217;agit d&#8217;un des\u00a0crat\u00e8res d&#8217;impact les plus anciens et les plus importants de la plan\u00e8te.\u00a0Partiellement d\u00e9truit par l&#8217;\u00e9rosion caus\u00e9e par les glaciers, il n&#8217;est pas facilement d\u00e9celable sur le terrain, d&#8217;o\u00f9 son classement dans la famille des astrobl\u00e8mes (tout comme <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/planete\/dossiers\/geologie-terre-france-parcours-geologique-710\/page\/4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rochechouart<\/a> en France).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2018\/07\/manicouagan.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[9429]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-9430\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2018\/07\/manicouagan-450x283.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2018\/07\/manicouagan-450x283.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2018\/07\/manicouagan-768x483.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2018\/07\/manicouagan-1024x644.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2018\/07\/manicouagan.jpg 1430w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sa structure concentrique r\u00e9sulte des ondes de choc transmises par l&#8217;impact. Ceux-ci ressemblent un peu aux anneaux qui se forment quand un caillou est tomb\u00e9 dans l&#8217;eau.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Form\u00e9 par l&#8217;impact d&#8217;une m\u00e9t\u00e9orite d&#8217;environ 5 km de diam\u00e8tre, le crat\u00e8re peut facilement \u00eatre observ\u00e9 depuis l&#8217;espace. La structure \u00e0 plusieurs anneaux a un diam\u00e8tre d&#8217;environ 100 km et l&#8217;anneau int\u00e9rieur 70 km. Cette image a \u00e9t\u00e9 obtenue par balayage radar depuis le satellite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/sentinel-1a-toutes-premieres-images-radar-sentinel-1a-53294\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sentinel-1A<\/a>\u00a0(image <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esa.int\/spaceinimages\/Images\/2015\/10\/Manicouagan_Crater_Canada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ESA<\/a>). Les couleurs artificielles traduisent la diversit\u00e9 des terrains : alors que les tons bleus repr\u00e9sentent des masses de glace et d&#8217;eau, les tons jaunes et orang\u00e9s trahissent l&#8217;existence d&#8217;une v\u00e9g\u00e9tation vieillissante vari\u00e9e m\u00e9lang\u00e9e \u00e0 des plaques de neige et de glace.
