Seul un rapprochement apparent avec la Lune (accompagn\u00e9e ici de la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/09\/17\/en-video-un-saisissant-coucher-de-lumiere-cendree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lumi\u00e8re cendr\u00e9e<\/a>) comme celui photographi\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;aube du 15 novembre (4 secondes de pose \u00e0 400 iso avec un objectif de 50 millim\u00e8tres de focale) permet de localiser la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/02\/16\/mars-express-survole-pole-nord-de-planete-rouge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Plan\u00e8te rouge<\/a>\u00a0(sa couleur, qui provient de l&#8217;oxyde de fer pr\u00e9sent dans le sol, est \u00e0 l&#8217;origine de son nom, Mars \u00e9tant le dieu de la guerre dans la mythologie romaine).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/lune_mars.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[8500]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8501\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/lune_mars-450x299.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"299\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/lune_mars-450x299.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/lune_mars-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/lune_mars-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/lune_mars.jpg 1353w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pourtant Mars ne cesse de se rapprocher et sera au plus pr\u00e8s de la Terre le 27 juillet 2018 pour une opposition spectaculaire.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>En raison de la forte excentricit\u00e9 de l&#8217;orbite martienne, la distance Terre-Mars varie beaucoup d&#8217;une opposition \u00e0 l&#8217;autre (en moyenne tous les 780 jours). Lors des oppositions p\u00e9rih\u00e9liques (qui ont lieu en ao\u00fbt et septembre), la quatri\u00e8me plan\u00e8te du Syst\u00e8me solaire peut s&#8217;approcher jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 56 millions de km de nous. Ce fut le cas au cours de l&#8217;\u00e9t\u00e9 2003 : Mars avait alors un diam\u00e8tre de 25 sec d&#8217;arc et une magnitude de -3. Les observateurs situ\u00e9s pr\u00e8s de l&#8217;\u00e9quateur terrestre sont alors les mieux plac\u00e9s pour \u00e9tudier cette plan\u00e8te qui se trouve dans les constellations du <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2014\/10\/31\/mars-sagittaire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sagittaire<\/a> ou du Capricorne (elle est donc assez basse sur l&#8217;horizon SUD pour les observateurs europ\u00e9ens).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/opposit.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[8500]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8502\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/opposit-450x381.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"381\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/opposit-450x381.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/opposit-768x650.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/opposit.jpg 809w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Les oppositions aph\u00e9liques (qui se produisent \u00e0 la fin de l&#8217;hiver) sont moins spectaculaires puisque la Plan\u00e8te rouge est \u00e0 environ 100 millions de km, mais sa position haute dans le ciel (constellations du Cancer ou du <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/05\/15\/jolie-constellation-lion-accueille-jupiter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lion<\/a>) offre de meilleures images sous nos latitudes (rappelons que plus un astre est haut, moins son image est d\u00e9form\u00e9e par la turbulence atmosph\u00e9rique).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/05\/mars_hubble.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[8500]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5789\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/05\/mars_hubble-450x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/05\/mars_hubble-450x450.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/05\/mars_hubble-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/05\/mars_hubble-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/05\/mars_hubble-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/05\/mars_hubble.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>La prochaine opposition martienne s&#8217;annonce spectaculaire puisque fin juillet 2018 la Plan\u00e8te rouge aura un diam\u00e8tre de 24 sec d&#8217;arc et une magnitude de -2,8. Il y aura donc un astre orang\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement brillant dans la constellation du Capricorne. Avec les progr\u00e8s des instruments astronomiques (cam\u00e9ras plus puissantes, optique adaptative&#8230;) nous devrions avoir de magnifiques images de Mars, comme celle ci-dessus prise par le <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/05\/28\/mars-a-lopposition-vue-telescope-spatial-hubble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">t\u00e9lescope spatial Hubble\u00a0<\/a>lors de l&#8217;opposition 2016.
