S&#8217;affranchissant d&#8217;une grande quantit\u00e9 de vapeur d\u2019eau (10 \u00e0 1.000 fois plus faible \u00e0 cette altitude qu\u2019au niveau de la mer), ALMA peut ainsi\u00a0capter les \u00e9missions radio provenant des disques de gaz et de poussi\u00e8re en rotation autour de jeunes \u00e9toiles pour y \u00e9tudier la naissance et la formation d&#8217;exoplan\u00e8tes.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-2874\"><\/span>Inaugur\u00e9 en mars 2013 apr\u00e8s plus de 10 ans de travaux et un budget de 1,4 milliard de dollars (ce qui en fait \u00e0 ce jour le projet astronomique le plus ambitieux du monde), ALMA devrait permettre d\u2019atteindre une r\u00e9solution d\u2019environ 0,005 seconde d\u2019arc permettant d&#8217;observer en d\u00e9tail des objets c\u00e9lestes beaucoup mieux que ne le fait le\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/04\/24\/en-video-science-et-poesie-pour-feter-le-telescope-hubble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">t\u00e9lescope spatial Hubble<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cette image r\u00e9alis\u00e9e le 27 juillet montre la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/11\/un-laser-fouille-la-voie-lactee-dans-le-ciel-des-canaries\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Voie lact\u00e9e <\/a>qui se d\u00e9ploie au-dessus des antennes \u00e9clair\u00e9es en vert.
