Elle n&#8217;attire gu\u00e8re l&#8217;attention des observateurs nocturnes avec ses faibles \u00e9toiles (aucune ne d\u00e9passe la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">magnitude<\/a> 4).\u00a0 C&#8217;est pourtant l\u00e0, \u00e0 1.300 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-annee-lumiere-17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re<\/a> de la Terre, que se trouve la plus belle n\u00e9buleuse plan\u00e9taire. On l&#8217;appelle Messier 27, Dumbbell ou encore l&#8217;Halt\u00e8re. Mais quand on l&#8217;observe dans un grand instrument, son aspect rappelle plut\u00f4t celui d&#8217;un trognon de pomme !<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/06\/dumbbell.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[7954]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7955\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/06\/dumbbell-450x305.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/06\/dumbbell-450x305.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/06\/dumbbell-768x520.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/06\/dumbbell-1024x694.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/06\/dumbbell.jpg 1330w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Il aura fallu toute l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mtanous.wordpress.com\/m27-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jos\u00e9 Mtanous<\/a> et de ses coll\u00e8gues pour nous offrir ce stup\u00e9fiant clich\u00e9 de la n\u00e9buleuse.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Premi\u00e8res observations :<\/h5>\n<p>Lorsque l&#8217;astronome fran\u00e7ais <a href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/astronomie-astronomie-catalogue-messier-250-ans-16597\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Charles Messier<\/a> d\u00e9couvre pour la premi\u00e8re fois cette n\u00e9buleuse le 12 juillet 1764, il en fait la description suivante :<em>\u00a0&#8220;J&#8217;ai d\u00e9couvert une n\u00e9buleuse dans la constellation du Petit Renard (Vulpecula), entre les deux pattes avant, tr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s d&#8217;une \u00e9toile de cinqui\u00e8me magnitude. Je l&#8217;ai examin\u00e9e avec un t\u00e9lescope gr\u00e9gorien qui grossissait 104 fois : cette n\u00e9buleuse a une forme ovale, ne contient aucune \u00e9toile et son diam\u00e8tre est d&#8217;environ 4 minutes d&#8217;arc&#8221;<\/em>. Quelques ann\u00e9es plus tard, c&#8217;est <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/personnalites\/astronomie-william-herschel-521\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">William Herschel<\/a> qui en parle :<em> &#8220;1782, le 30 septembre. Ma s\u0153ur (<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2021\/02\/03\/portrait-caroline-herschel-astronome-de-lombre-a-la-lumiere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caroline<\/a>) a d\u00e9couvert cette n\u00e9buleuse ce soir alors qu&#8217;elle cherchait des com\u00e8tes. En comparant sa place avec les n\u00e9buleuses de Messier, on trouve que c&#8217;est sa vingt-septi\u00e8me d\u00e9couverte. Renauld<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h5>Une nouvelle famille d&#8217;objets c\u00e9lestes :<\/h5>\n<p>Messier a d\u00e9j\u00e0 observ\u00e9 26 objets c\u00e9lestes qu&#8217;il a class\u00e9 dans son catalogue des objets n\u00e9buleux entrepris pour \u00e9viter les confusions avec de nouvelles <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/01\/24\/swan-et-lovejoy-deux-cometes-qui-se-ressemblent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">com\u00e8tes<\/a>. Mais cette fois ce qu&#8217;il voit n&#8217;est ni une <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/03\/16\/quand-orion-se-dessine-dessus-de-mediterranee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">n\u00e9buleuse diffuse<\/a>, ni un <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/02\/09\/observez-lamas-detoiles-des-pleiades-en-debut-de-nuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">amas d&#8217;\u00e9toiles<\/a> ou une <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/02\/21\/deux-curieuses-galaxies-sillage-de-comete-45p\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">galaxie<\/a>. C&#8217;est William Herschel qui d\u00e9cide de nommer &#8220;n\u00e9buleuses plan\u00e9taires&#8221; ces curieux objets c\u00e9lestes qui ont l&#8217;aspect dilu\u00e9 d&#8217;une n\u00e9buleuse et la forme arrondie d&#8217;une plan\u00e8te.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/renard4.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[7954]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14366\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/renard4-450x405.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/renard4-450x405.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/11\/renard4.jpg 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Que peut-on voir ?<\/h5>\n<p>Commencez par localiser le Triangle d&#8217;\u00e9t\u00e9 dans le ciel nocturne avec la carte du ciel \u00e9toil\u00e9 en temps r\u00e9el propos\u00e9e par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stelvision.com\/astro\/carte-ciel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stelvision<\/a>. Puis aidez-vous de la carte ci-dessus pour situer Messier 27. La n\u00e9buleuse a une taille apparente d&#8217;environ le tiers de la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/03\/13\/la-pleine-lune-du-corbeau-se-leve-sur-lyon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pleine Lune<\/a> et une <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">magnitude<\/a> visuelle de 7,4 qui permet de la rep\u00e9rer avec une simple paire de jumelles comme une petite tache floue (\u00e0 voir sur <a href=\"https:\/\/binocularsky.com\/binoc_object_file.php?object_id=M27&amp;aperture=100\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>BinocularSky<\/em><\/a>).
