Pendant que le <em>Catalina Sky Survey<\/em> scanne le ciel de l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord, \u00a0le <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mso.anu.edu.au\/~rmn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Siding Spring Survey<\/a><\/em> fait de m\u00eame en Australie pour le ciel de l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[7717]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7718\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde-450x305.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde-450x305.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde-768x520.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde-1024x693.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde.jpg 1330w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>La trajectoire de cet ast\u00e9ro\u00efde l&#8217;a amen\u00e9 au plus pr\u00e8s de la Terre (pr\u00e8s de 2 millions de km quand m\u00eame, soit 5 fois la distance Terre-<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/04\/15\/clair-de-lune-photographe-inspire-beethoven\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lune<\/a>) le mercredi 19 avril, un passage qui a mobilis\u00e9 les <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2014\/12\/14\/lumiere-rouge-les-astronomes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">astronomes<\/a> professionnels et amateurs.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Les premiers ont utilis\u00e9 le radiot\u00e9lescope de\u00a0l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.naic.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Observatoire d\u2019Arecibo<\/a> (un radar de 305 m de diam\u00e8tre install\u00e9 \u00e0 Porto Rico et d\u00e9pass\u00e9 aujourd&#8217;hui par <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/07\/28\/le-plus-grand-radiotelescope-du-monde-sera-chinois\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FAST<\/a>, un radiot\u00e9lescope chinois de 500 m de diam\u00e8tre) pour mesurer la taille de l&#8217;ast\u00e9ro\u00efde qu&#8217;on estime d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 1,3 km. Ils ont \u00e9galement obtenu des images\u00a0de cet <a href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/asteroides-ressemble-asteroide-vient-froler-terre-56837\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ast\u00e9ro\u00efde en forme de cacahu\u00e8te<\/a> avec l&#8217;antenne radar de <a href=\"http:\/\/gssr.jpl.nasa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Goldstone <\/a>en Californie (70 m de diam\u00e8tre).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde2.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[7717]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7719\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde2-450x363.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"363\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde2-450x363.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde2-768x620.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde2-1024x827.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/04\/astero\u00efde2.jpg 1075w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>De leur c\u00f4t\u00e9 les astronomes amateurs bien \u00e9quip\u00e9s ont pu suivre le passage de l&#8217;ast\u00e9ro\u00efde (dont la magnitude \u00e9tait proche de 10,5) dans la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/10\/07\/la-grande-ourse-et-la-cabotte-sous-la-lune\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">constellation de la Grande Ourse<\/a> \u00e0 la nuit tomb\u00e9e. C&#8217;est le cas par exemple de Sylvain Chapeland qui utilisait un t\u00e9lescope de 280 mm de diam\u00e8tre (<a href=\"http:\/\/spaceweathergallery.com\/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=134911&amp;PHPSESSID=53u2kk1r9iosabeo57b1evvol1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">voir l&#8217;animation<\/a>) ou encore de John Briol aux USA avec un t\u00e9lescope plus petit de 130 mm de diam\u00e8tre (<a href=\"http:\/\/spaceweathergallery.com\/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=134916&amp;PHPSESSID=53u2kk1r9iosabeo57b1evvol1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">voir l&#8217;animation<\/a>).
