La com\u00e8te 45P, qui est de retour en fin de nuit dans la constellation d&#8217;Ophiuchus, en pleine <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/02\/02\/voie-lactee-se-devoile-ciel-carpates\/\" target=\"_blank\">Voie lact\u00e9e<\/a>, est priv\u00e9e de queue et son \u00e9clat est plus faible que pr\u00e9vu.<\/p>\n<p>Il n&#8217;en reste qu&#8217;une petite boule verte, une couleur provoqu\u00e9e par\u00a0la forte \u00e9mission de carbone diatomique(C2), caract\u00e9ristique d&#8217;un certain nombre d\u2019astres chevelus (comme par exemple <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/04\/03\/252p-linear-la-comete-qui-a-surpris-les-astronomes\/\" target=\"_blank\">252P\/Linear,<\/a> une com\u00e8te qui avait surpris les astronomes par un brusque sursaut d\u2019\u00e9clat en avril 2016).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/02\/com\u00e8te_45P.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[7288]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7289\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/02\/com\u00e8te_45P-450x305.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/02\/com\u00e8te_45P-450x305.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/02\/com\u00e8te_45P-768x520.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/02\/com\u00e8te_45P-1024x694.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/02\/com\u00e8te_45P.jpg 1330w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rappelons que la com\u00e8te p\u00e9riodique 45P (de son vrai nom 45P\/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova) a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverte le 3 d\u00e9cembre 1948 par l\u2019astronome japonais Minoru Honda (auteur de 12 d\u00e9couvertes com\u00e9taires) puis ind\u00e9pendamment par Antonin Mrkos et Ludmila Pajdusakova.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Cette com\u00e8te p\u00e9riodique (d&#8217;o\u00f9 la lettre &#8220;P&#8221;) a un noyau dont la taille est estim\u00e9e \u00e0 moins d\u2019un kilom\u00e8tre et circule sur une orbite \u00e0 courte p\u00e9riode qui la ram\u00e8ne \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/11\/09\/coucher-de-soleil-derriere-lobservatoire-du-pic-du-midi\/\" target=\"_blank\">Soleil<\/a> (et de la Terre) tous les 5,25 ans.<\/p>\n<p>C&#8217;est le 11 f\u00e9vrier, \u00e0 sa plus courte distance de la Terre (12 millions de km soit 0,09 UA) que la com\u00e8te 45P devait atteindre en th\u00e9orie sa luminosit\u00e9 maximale (magnitude 6) et devenir visible \u00e0 l&#8217;\u0153il nu sous un excellent ciel, loin de toute <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2014\/06\/28\/pollution-lumineuse\/\" target=\"_blank\">pollution lumineuse<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mais l&#8217;astre chevelu a sans doute souffert de son passage \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/02\/06\/le-soleil-se-couche-sur-le-desert-datacama\/\" target=\"_blank\">Soleil<\/a> (80 millions de km soit 0,533 UA) le 31 d\u00e9cembre dernier.
