Exemple avec NGC 248.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les observateurs du ciel nocturne ont \u00e0 leur dispositions plusieurs catalogues qui recensent les objets c\u00e9lestes fixes (\u00e9toiles, amas, n\u00e9buleuses, galaxies). Le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre d&#8217;entre eux est le catalogue Messier r\u00e9dig\u00e9\u00a0par l\u2019astronome fran\u00e7ais<a title=\"Charles Messier\" href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/magazines\/espace\/infos\/personnalites\/d\/astronomie-charles-messier-822\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Charles Messier<\/a> \u00e0 la fin du XVIIIe si\u00e8cle (110 objets). Beaucoup plus imposant avec 7.840 r\u00e9f\u00e9rences, le <em>New General Catalog of Nebulae and Clusters of Stars<\/em> (NGC) a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tabli par John Dreyer \u00e0 la fin du XIXe si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/01\/ngc248.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[7120]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7121\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/01\/ngc248-450x306.jpg\" alt=\"ngc248\" width=\"450\" height=\"306\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/01\/ngc248-450x306.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/01\/ngc248-768x521.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/01\/ngc248-1024x695.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2017\/01\/ngc248.jpg 1330w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Int\u00e9ressons-nous \u00e0 NGC 248, une n\u00e9buleuse en \u00e9mission d\u00e9couverte par\u00a0l&#8217;astronome britannique <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2014\/05\/12\/telescope-william-herschel\/\" target=\"_blank\">William Herschel<\/a> en 1834.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;image ci-dessus, r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par le t\u00e9lescope spatial Hubble et propos\u00e9e par l&#8217;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spacetelescope.org\/news\/heic1623\/\" target=\"_blank\">ESA<\/a>, serait presque banale : nous ne manquons pas en effet de photographies de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-nebuleuse-50\/\" target=\"_blank\">n\u00e9buleuses en \u00e9mission<\/a> comme la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/01\/13\/nebuleuse-de-lagune-pouponniere-detoiles\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lagune<\/a>, la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/09\/25\/leso-nous-offre-la-nebuleuse-de-la-crevette\/\" target=\"_blank\">Crevette<\/a> ou <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/10\/15\/en-video-zoom-sur-messier-17-la-nebuleuse-omega\/\" target=\"_blank\">Om\u00e9ga<\/a>. Mais NGC 248 se d\u00e9marque de ses cons\u0153urs parce qu&#8217;elle est beaucoup plus \u00e9loign\u00e9e. Elle se situe en effet \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 200.000 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re, non pas dans notre <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/11\/21\/lorigine-de-la-voie-lactee-peinte-par-pierre-paul-rubens\/\" target=\"_blank\">Voie lact\u00e9e<\/a>, mais dans le <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/04\/02\/les-nuages-de-magellan-dans-le-ciel-du-chili\/\" target=\"_blank\">Petit Nuage de Magellan<\/a>, une galaxie satellite naine irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re visible depuis l&#8217;h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud, dans la constellation du Toucan (tout comme le Grand Nuage de Magellan, elle doit son nom au navigateur portugais Fernand de Magellan qui l&#8217;identifia au XVIe si\u00e8cle au cours d&#8217;un voyage).<\/p>\n<p>Si le t\u00e9lescope spatial Hubble peut nous offrir des images aussi d\u00e9taill\u00e9es d&#8217;une n\u00e9buleuse dans une galaxie voisine avec son miroir de 2,4 m, imaginez ce que nous r\u00e9v\u00e9lera le\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/04\/26\/miroir-jwst-se-devoile-lentement\/\" target=\"_blank\">JWST<\/a> (<em>James Webb Space Telescope<\/em>) et son miroir de 6,5 m !<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La puissance d&#8217;observation du t\u00e9lescope spatial Hubble lui permet de sonder des objets n\u00e9buleux hors de notre Galaxie.
