Prise en R\u00e9publique tch\u00e8que, une image nocturne d’une chapelle nous r\u00e9v\u00e8le un pan de ciel estival avec la tr\u00e8s belle galaxie d’Androm\u00e8de.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le 4 ao\u00fbt dernier, juste avant que ne d\u00e9bute en France la vingt-sixi\u00e8me \u00e9dition des Nuits des \u00e9toiles<\/a>, Petr Hor\u00e1lek<\/a> a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une tr\u00e8s belle image en R\u00e9publique tch\u00e8que. D\u00e9laissant les beaut\u00e9s du ciel nocturne dans le d\u00e9sert du Kalahari <\/a>ou la f\u00e9erie cosmique dans le ciel de La Silla<\/a>, ce talentueux photographe s’est rendu dans les Beskides, \u00a0une cha\u00eene de montagnes des Carpates servant de fronti\u00e8re \u00e0 la R\u00e9publique tch\u00e8que, \u00e0 la Slovaquie, \u00e0 la Pologne et \u00e0 l’Ukraine. Il a pos\u00e9 son appareil photo au pied d’une chapelle d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 Marie qui fut construite en 1773 et inscrite depuis 2002 au Patrimoine national tch\u00e8que.<\/p>\n

Ce panorama (r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en combinant 43 images prises avec un objectif de 50 mm ouvert \u00e0 2,8 et pos\u00e9es chacune 8 secondes \u00e0 une sensibilit\u00e9 de 8.000 iso) nous montre une joli morceau du ciel que l’on peut admirer en seconde partie de nuit d\u00e9but ao\u00fbt.<\/p>\n

Les \u00e9toiles les plus brillantes dans la Voie lact\u00e9e forment le W caract\u00e9ristique de la constellation de Cassiop\u00e9e<\/a> avec en dessous une petite tra\u00een\u00e9e verte occasionn\u00e9e par la combustion d’une Pers\u00e9ide <\/a>dans la haute atmosph\u00e8re, 8 jours avant le maximum d’activit\u00e9 de ce c\u00e9l\u00e8bre essaim.<\/p>\n

L’objet c\u00e9leste qui attire les regards au-dessus du clocher de la chapelle est la galaxie d’Androm\u00e8de<\/a>. Entrant dans le club tr\u00e8s ferm\u00e9 des rares galaxies visibles \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153il nu depuis la Terre dans l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord, Messier 31 (magnitude 3,4) est observ\u00e9e depuis tr\u00e8s longtemps. Si l\u2019astronome persan Al Soufi (903-986) est le premier \u00e0 mentionner l\u2019existence de cette petite tache floue, il est fort probable qu\u2019on la connaissait d\u00e9j\u00e0 dans l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Situ\u00e9e \u00e0 un peu plus de 2,5 millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re dans la\u00a0constellation d\u2019Androm\u00e8de<\/a>, M 31 a une longueur apparente qui d\u00e9passe 3\u00b0, soit 6 fois la taille de la Pleine Lune<\/a>. On estime qu\u2019environ mille milliards d\u2019\u00e9toiles sont contenues dans la galaxie dont le diam\u00e8tre est de 140.000 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n
