Depuis que les t\u00e9lescopes terrestres sont assez puissants pour observer les grands reliefs martiens, les astronomes ont assist\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs temp\u00eates suffisamment importantes pour soulever d&#8217;importantes quantit\u00e9s de poussi\u00e8res et masquer les paysages durant plusieurs semaines sur Mars. En 1971 une temp\u00eate se produisit lors de l&#8217;arriv\u00e9e en orbite martienne de <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mariner_9\" target=\"_blank\">Mariner 9<\/a>, obligeant la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">NASA <\/a>\u00e0 retarder le travail cartographique assign\u00e9 \u00e0 la sonde.<\/p>\n\n<!-- iframe plugin v.5.1 wordpress.org\/plugins\/iframe\/ -->\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"\/\/www.dailymotion.com\/embed\/video\/x3wyfdx\" 0=\"allowfullscreen&gt;&lt;\/iframe\" scrolling=\"yes\" class=\"iframe-class\"><\/iframe>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>En vid\u00e9o : MRO, 10 ans d&#8217;images sublimes de la Plan\u00e8te rouge<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En plus de ces temp\u00eates spectaculaires il existe une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de vents qui fa\u00e7onnent lentement le relief de la plan\u00e8te Mars. Les plan\u00e9tologues ont d&#8217;abord pens\u00e9 que la visualisation de ces manifestations \u00e9oliennes demanderait du temps et se r\u00e9v\u00e9lerait en comparant des images prises \u00e0 plusieurs ann\u00e9es d&#8217;intervalle.
