Ce sont les restes d&#8217;une explosion stellaire qui s&#8217;est produite il y a 600 ans.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>C&#8217;est au cours d&#8217;une\u00a0exp\u00e9dition hollandaise vers les Indes orientales\u00a0\u00e0 la fin du XVIe si\u00e8cle que les explorateurs \u00a0Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser et Frederick de Houtman d\u00e9couvrirent le ciel de l&#8217;h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud et nomm\u00e8rent 11 nouvelles constellations. L&#8217;une d&#8217;entre elles fut baptis\u00e9e la Dorade en raison de sa forme tr\u00e8s allong\u00e9e qui fait penser \u00e0 un poisson.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/12\/supernova.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[4439]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4440\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/12\/supernova-450x296.jpg\" alt=\"supernova\" width=\"450\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/12\/supernova-450x296.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/12\/supernova-1024x674.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2015\/12\/supernova.jpg 1367w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Si la constellation de la Dorade est r\u00e9put\u00e9e, ce n&#8217;est pas pour ses \u00e9toiles (dont aucune n&#8217;est plus brillante que la quatri\u00e8me magnitude) mais parce qu&#8217;elle abrite le <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/04\/02\/les-nuages-de-magellan-dans-le-ciel-du-chili\/\" target=\"_blank\">Grand Nuage de Magellan<\/a> (<em>Large Magellanic Cloud<\/em> ou LMC pour les anglo-saxons), une galaxie naine parfaitement visible \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153il nu, \u00e9tendue sur une surface 20 fois plus grande que la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/11\/02\/en-video-la-pleine-lune-se-leve-en-australie\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pleine Lune<\/a> et distante de 170 000 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Il y a 600 ans la lumi\u00e8re d&#8217;une explosion stellaire dans le LMC arrivait sur Terre.
