Inouye vient de saisir de stup\u00e9fiants d\u00e9tails \u00e0 la surface du Soleil.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>Le plus grand t\u00e9lescope solaire :<\/h5>\n<p>Le\u00a0<em>Advanced Technology Solar Telescope<\/em>\u00a0(ATST) se trouve sur l\u2019\u00eele hawa\u00efenne de <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Maui\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maui<\/a>. Construit \u00e0 3.000 m\u00e8tres d\u2019altitude au sommet du volcan <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Haleakal%C4%81\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Haleakal\u0101<\/a>, il r\u00e9volutionne l\u2019astronomie solaire depuis sa mise en service fin 2019. Dot\u00e9 d\u2019un miroir primaire de 4,24 m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre, cet instrument porte le nom de <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Daniel_Inouye\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daniel Ken Inouye<\/a> (1924-2012). Ce dernier fut s\u00e9nateur de l\u2019\u00c9tat d\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hawa%C3%AF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hawa\u00ef<\/a> au <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Congr%C3%A8s_des_%C3%89tats-Unis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Congr\u00e8s des \u00c9tats-Unis<\/a>. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019emploi de 142 v\u00e9rins hydrauliques, le miroir ne se d\u00e9forme pas, quelle que soit son orientation ou sa temp\u00e9rature. Il garde ainsi la m\u00eame forme avec une pr\u00e9cision de l\u2019ordre du micron. <!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Zoom sur la surface solaire :<\/h5>\n<p>Rappelons que le <a href=\"https:\/\/cnes.fr\/dossiers\/soleil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soleil <\/a>est une gigantesque boule de gaz de 1,4 million de kilom\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre (110 fois la taille de la Terre). Chaque seconde, il convertit 4 millions de tonnes d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne en rayonnement. Nous ne pouvons observer que sa couche ext\u00e9rieure, dans laquelle le transport d\u2019\u00e9nergie se fait par convection. Le gaz chaud (plasma) remonte \u00e0 la surface, lib\u00e8re de l\u2019\u00e9nergie en se refroidissant et replonge vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur :<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"NSF Daniel K.
