En effet, depuis la d\u00e9couverte de <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/51_Pegasi_b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">51 Pegasi b<\/a> en 1995, les astronomes en ont recens\u00e9 des milliers. Et c&#8217;est peu dire qu&#8217;elles sont d&#8217;une grande diversit\u00e9 ! Il y a par exemple des g\u00e9antes gazeuses br\u00fblantes (<a href=\"https:\/\/cnes.fr\/dossiers\/planete-jupiter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jupiter<\/a> chaudes), des plan\u00e8tes rocheuses (super-terres), et m\u00eame des astres recouverts d&#8217;un immense oc\u00e9an liquide. Il s&#8217;agit de deux astres qui orbitent autour de <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/TOI-791\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TOI-791<\/a>, une \u00e9toile de\u00a0la constellation australe du <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Poisson_volant_(constellation)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Poisson volant<\/a> situ\u00e9e \u00e0 un peu plus de 1000 <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ann%C3%A9e-lumi%C3%A8re\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re<\/a>. TOI-791 b et TOI-791 c, c&#8217;est leur nom, ont pu \u00eatre caract\u00e9ris\u00e9es gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&#8217;instrument <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oca.eu\/fr\/presentation-astep\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ASTEP<\/a>, un t\u00e9lescope install\u00e9 en Antarctique dans la station <a href=\"https:\/\/institut-polaire.fr\/fr\/antarctique\/la-station-concordia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Concordia<\/a>. Les mesures obtenues r\u00e9v\u00e8lent que les deux plan\u00e8tes, \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s de la taille de Jupiter, sont particuli\u00e8rement l\u00e9g\u00e8res. Elles ont des densit\u00e9s comprises entre 0,04 et 0,05 gramme par centim\u00e8tre cube, inf\u00e9rieures \u00e0 celle de la barbe \u00e0 papa ! \u00c0 titre de comparaison, la densit\u00e9 de la Terre est 130 fois plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e, celle de Jupiter 30 fois plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e.
