Cette com\u00e8te avait \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverte le 13 janvier 2026 par quatre amateurs, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spaceobs.com\/Blog-de-Alain-Maury\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alain Maury<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Georges_Attard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Georges Attard<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.astrosignoret.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florian Signoret<\/a> et <a href=\"http:\/\/www.skaw.sk\/interview-with-daniel-parrott.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daniel Parrott<\/a>. Ce groupe compte quelques membres c\u00e9l\u00e8bres, comme\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/12\/21\/c2011-w3-lovejoy-letonnante-comete-de-decembre-2011\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C\/2011 W3 Lovejoy<\/a>, et surtout\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/astronomie-comete-ikeya-seki-6216\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C\/1965 S1 (Ikeya-Seki)<\/a>, qui fut visible en plein jour. Une parent\u00e9 qui, vous l&#8217;imaginez bien, a enflamm\u00e9 les imaginations ! Au cours d&#8217;un <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2026\/03\/15\/comete-c-2026-a1-maps-a-quoi-sattendre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">webinaire<\/a> organis\u00e9 par la\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/saf-astronomie.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SAF<\/a> le 14 mars, les astronomes ont fait le point sur cette d\u00e9couverte. La suite nous restera cach\u00e9e \u00e0 jamais, mais on peut ais\u00e9ment l&#8217;imaginer. \u00c0 moins de 200.000 kilom\u00e8tres de la surface de notre \u00e9toile, C\/2026 A1 (MAPS) s&#8217;est litt\u00e9ralement vaporis\u00e9e.
