Un engouement que nous expliquait le Docteur en astrophysique et journaliste scientifique Adrien Coffinet il y a quelques semaines (lire <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2025\/08\/27\/comete-interstellaire-3i-atlas-les-explications-dadrien-coffinet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ici<\/a>). Il faut dire que ce n&#8217;est pas n&#8217;importe quelle com\u00e8te. Il s&#8217;agit en effet du troisi\u00e8me objet interstellaire rep\u00e9r\u00e9 dans le<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Syst%C3%A8me_solaire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Syst\u00e8me solaire<\/a>, apr\u00e8s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1I\/%CA%BBOumuamua\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1I\/\u02bbOumuamua<\/a>\u00a0en 2017 et\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2I\/Borissov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2I\/Borissov<\/a> en 2019. Outre de tr\u00e8s nombreux t\u00e9lescopes terrestres, ce sont plus d&#8217;une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cite-espace.com\/actualites-spatiales\/3iatlas-la-comete-interstellaire-photographiee-par-quinze-missions-de-la-nasa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">quinzaine de sondes spatiales<\/a> qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sollicit\u00e9es pour espionner cette lointaine visiteuse, un record ! On peut l&#8217;observer en seconde partie de nuit, entre les pattes du <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lion_(constellation)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lion<\/a>. Mais avec une <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">magnitude<\/a> proche de 13, n&#8217;esp\u00e9rez pas l&#8217;apercevoir dans un petit <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2023\/01\/11\/peut-on-choisir-son-premier-telescope-sans-se-tromper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">t\u00e9lescope<\/a> ! Le 29 octobre dernier, lors du passage au <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/P%C3%A9rih%C3%A9lie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">p\u00e9rih\u00e9lie<\/a>, l&#8217;astre chevelu avait tout de m\u00eame atteint une magnitude de 9. Mais depuis, son \u00e9clat ne cesse de d\u00e9cro\u00eetre. Il faut donc faire vite pour collecter un maximum d&#8217;informations sur 3I\/ATLAS.
