Toute petite (moins de deux minutes d&#8217;arc, le quinzi\u00e8me du diam\u00e8tre apparent de la <a href=\"https:\/\/cnes.fr\/dossiers\/lune\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lune<\/a>), cette <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-nebuleuse-planetaire-51\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">n\u00e9buleuse plan\u00e9taire<\/a> a une <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">magnitude<\/a> de 13. Elle symbolise une \u00e9tape dans la vieillesse des \u00e9toiles de moins de huit masses solaires. Il semble en effet que certaines naines blanches, une fois qu&#8217;elles ont expuls\u00e9 leur coquille de gaz, connaissent une nouvelle phase explosive. C&#8217;est au cours de cette seconde r\u00e9action thermonucl\u00e9aire que se forme alors l&#8217;\u00e9trange structure interne observable dans la n\u00e9buleuse.
