Car si l&#8217;on d\u00e9couvre quotidiennement des ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes, gr\u00e2ce aux programmes de d\u00e9tection automatis\u00e9s, on peut dire que celui-ci sort du lot. Ce petit corps (700 m\u00e8tres quand m\u00eame) a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvert le 27 septembre 2025 par <a href=\"https:\/\/carnegiescience.edu\/bio\/dr-scott-s-sheppard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scott Sheppard<\/a> depuis le <a href=\"https:\/\/noirlab.edu\/public\/programs\/ctio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CTIO<\/a> (<em>Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory<\/em>). L&#8217;astronome utilisait la <a href=\"https:\/\/noirlab.edu\/public\/programs\/ctio\/victor-blanco-4m-telescope\/decam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dark-Energy Camera<\/a> install\u00e9e sur le <a href=\"https:\/\/noirlab.edu\/science\/programs\/ctio\/telescopes\/victor-blanco-4m-telescope\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">t\u00e9lescope Blanco<\/a>, un instrument dot\u00e9 d&#8217;un miroir de quatre m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre. D&#8217;abord son orbite, presque enti\u00e8rement circonscrite dans celle de <a href=\"https:\/\/cnes.fr\/dossiers\/planete-venus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">V\u00e9nus<\/a>, alors que la plupart de ces petits corps orbitent entre <a href=\"https:\/\/cnes.fr\/dossiers\/planete-mars\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mars<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/cnes.fr\/dossiers\/planete-jupiter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jupiter<\/a>. Voil\u00e0 qui en fait le quatri\u00e8me ast\u00e9ro\u00efde le plus rapide connu. Scott Sheppard s&#8217;est sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans la d\u00e9couverte de ces petits corps c\u00e9lestes orbitant tr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s du <a href=\"https:\/\/cnes.fr\/dossiers\/soleil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soleil<\/a>. On ne sait pas combien d&#8217;entre eux se cachent dans cette zone, o\u00f9 leur d\u00e9tection est si d\u00e9licate. Une lacune que les astronomes vont devoir combler, car, comme le rappelle Scott Sheppard, &#8220;<em>les ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes les plus dangereux restent ceux qu&#8217;on voit le moins<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<h5>\u00c0 savoir :<\/h5>\n<p>Parmi ces ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes si particuliers, les astronomes distinguent deux famille. La premi\u00e8re, celle des <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ast%C3%A9ro%C3%AFde_Vatira\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vatira<\/a>, regroupe les ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes dont l&#8217;orbite est enti\u00e8rement circonscrite dans celle de V\u00e9nus. \u00c0 ce jour, seul (594913) \ua78cAyl\u00f3\ua78cchaxnim en fait partie. La seconde, celle des <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ast%C3%A9ro%C3%AFde_Atira\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Atira<\/a>, regroupe les ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes dont l&#8217;orbite peut d\u00e9passer celle de V\u00e9nus mais reste int\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle de la Terre.
