Car, avec Arp 271, on assiste \u00e0 une rencontre galactique comme celle que conna\u00eetront <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/astronomie-voie-lactee-andromede-seraient-plus-grandes-quon-ne-croyait-deja-collision-115947\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">la Voie lact\u00e9e et Androm\u00e8de<\/a> dans un futur lointain. La sc\u00e8ne, qui se d\u00e9roule \u00e0 130 millions d&#8217;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-annee-lumiere-17\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re<\/a>, a \u00e9t\u00e9 immortalis\u00e9e par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.astrobin.com\/liruxg\/0\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Neil Corke<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.martinpughastrophotography.space\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martin Pugh<\/a>. Les astronomes ne sont pas certains que les deux galaxies finiront par entrer en collision. Elles vont peut-\u00eatre continuer d&#8217;interagir pendant des dizaines de millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es en cr\u00e9ant de nouvelles \u00e9toiles.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>\u00c0 savoir :<\/h5>\n<p>Les initiales <strong>NGC<\/strong> font r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au <em>New General Catalogue<\/em>, un r\u00e9pertoire de plus de 7.500 objets c\u00e9lestes \u00e9labor\u00e9 par l\u2019astronome irlando-danois John Dreyer au XIXe si\u00e8cle. Quant \u00e0 <strong>Arp<\/strong>, c&#8217;est une d\u00e9nomination en lien avec l\u2019<em>Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies<\/em>, un catalogue de 338 galaxies particuli\u00e8res publi\u00e9 en 1966 par l&#8217;astronome am\u00e9ricain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haltonarp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Halton Arp<\/a> (1927-2013).<\/p>\n<h5>\u00c0 propos de la Vierge :<\/h5>\n<p>Coinc\u00e9e entre le <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2019\/05\/23\/en-mai-decouvrez-le-celebre-triplet-de-galaxies-du-lion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lion<\/a>\u00a0\u00e0 l\u2019Ouest et la Balance \u00e0 l\u2019Est, la Vierge a une forme peu \u00e9vocatrice. Cette grande constellation (la plus \u00e9tendue apr\u00e8s l\u2019Hydre), n\u2019\u00e9voque gu\u00e8re les grandes d\u00e9esses de l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9 qui y sont associ\u00e9es. Heureusement que sa plus brillante \u00e9toile,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2018\/11\/18\/venus-aux-cotes-de-letoile-spica-de-la-vierge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spica<\/a>, est facilement rep\u00e9rable.
