Verdict : il pourrait s&#8217;agir d&#8217;un ast\u00e9ro\u00efde double.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>Trafic dans la ceinture principale :<\/h5>\n<p>(761) Brendelia fait partie de la ceinture principale d&#8217;ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes entre les orbites des plan\u00e8tes <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2024\/08\/14\/mars-et-jupiter-avaient-rendez-vous-sous-les-pleiades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mars et Jupiter<\/a>. Rep\u00e9r\u00e9 le 8 septembre 1913, son nom fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 l&#8217;astronome allemand Otto Brendel. Cette ceinture contient plusieurs millions de petits corps dont le plus imposant, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-ceres-3864\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C\u00e9r\u00e8s<\/a>, fut d\u00e9couvert en 1801. Depuis quelques ann\u00e9es, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2024\/07\/17\/des-astronomes-amateurs-traquent-les-asteroides\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">les astronomes amateurs traquent les ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes<\/a>. Objectif : d\u00e9tecter de tr\u00e8s faibles fluctuations de luminosit\u00e9 en lien avec leur rotation. C&#8217;est le travail que m\u00e8ne le <a href=\"https:\/\/aoacm.com.ar\/gora\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">G.O.R.A.<\/a> , un groupe argentin sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9. Il\u00a0rapporte une s\u00e9rie de mesures concernant (761) Brendelia. Les variations d&#8217;\u00e9clat observ\u00e9es laissent penser que cet ast\u00e9ro\u00efde serait double. <!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Des ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes bien accompagn\u00e9s :<\/h5>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e9tude des ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 qu&#8217;ils ne sont pas tous solitaires. Certains sont accompagn\u00e9s d&#8217;un petit satellite. D&#8217;autres font dans l&#8217;originalit\u00e9. En 2022, des astronomes ont d\u00e9couvert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insu.cnrs.fr\/fr\/cnrsinfo\/decouverte-dune-troisieme-lune-orbitant-lasteroide-130-elektra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">une troisi\u00e8me lune \u00e0 (130) Elektra<\/a>. Derni\u00e8rement, c&#8217;est <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/lucy-etude-revele-secrets-cet-etrange-asteroide-double-survole-nasa-93826\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dinkinesh<\/a> qui a fait parler de lui. La sonde Lucy a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 qu&#8217;il \u00e9tait accompagn\u00e9 d&#8217;un satellite double ! Beaucoup plus rares sont les ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes doubles (dont les deux composants ont la m\u00eame taille). Le caract\u00e8re double de ces ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en \u00e9vidence par des amateurs, en collaboration avec <a href=\"https:\/\/obswww.unige.ch\/~behrend\/page_cou.html?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Raoul Behrend<\/a>, astronome \u00e0 l\u2019Observatoire de Gen\u00e8ve. Il se pourrait que ce soit \u00e9galement le cas pour (761) Brendelia. Dans <a href=\"https:\/\/aoacm.com.ar\/gora\/viewtopic.php?t=950\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">un article tr\u00e8s d\u00e9taill\u00e9<\/a>, le GORA rapporte le r\u00e9sultat de sa campagne d&#8217;observations, avec \u00e0 la cl\u00e9 une \u00e9trange courbe de luminosit\u00e9 pour l&#8217;ast\u00e9ro\u00efde.
