Car Abell 33 est une discr\u00e8te n\u00e9buleuse plan\u00e9taire (NP) situ\u00e9e dans la constellation australe de l&#8217;Hydre. Avec une <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">magnitude<\/a> de 13, elle ne se d\u00e9voile que dans les instruments de grand diam\u00e8tre. Photographique ment, il faut toute la puissance du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eso.org\/public\/france\/images\/eso1412a\/?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Very Large Telescope<\/em><\/a> pour nous en offrir ce saisissant portrait. HD 83535, c&#8217;est son nom, est beaucoup plus brillante (magnitude 7). Par le plus grand des hasards, l&#8217;astre co\u00efncide avec le bord de la NP, lui donnant cet aspect si caract\u00e9ristique.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>\u00c0 propos des n\u00e9buleuses plan\u00e9taires :<\/h5>\n<p>Le nom de n\u00e9buleuse plan\u00e9taire correspond \u00e0 l\u2019aspect de ces objets c\u00e9lestes quand on les regarde dans une petite lunette astronomique, ce qui \u00e9tait le cas lors de leur d\u00e9couverte au XVIII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Une n\u00e9buleuse plan\u00e9taire repr\u00e9sente une \u00e9tape dans la vieillesse des \u00e9toiles de moins de huit masses solaires. Lorsqu\u2019elles passent du stade de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-geante-rouge-3731\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">g\u00e9ante rouge<\/a>\u00a0\u00e0 celui de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-naine-blanche-28\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">naine blanche<\/a>, ces \u00e9toiles expulsent une coquille de gaz en expansion. Ce gaz devient lumineux car il est ionis\u00e9 par les photons ultraviolets qui s\u2019\u00e9chappent de l\u2019astre br\u00fblant.
