L&#8217;observatoire est \u00e9quip\u00e9 d&#8217;un t\u00e9lescope de 8,4 m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre. Quint<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Si le diam\u00e8tre de ce t\u00e9lescope est classique, les caract\u00e9ristiques de sa cam\u00e9ra le sont beaucoup moins. En effet, elle poss\u00e8dera le plus grand capteur num\u00e9rique jamais con\u00e7u (3,2 milliards de pixels).<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Cam\u00e9ra exceptionnelle :<\/h5>\n<p>Les astronomes ont imagin\u00e9 une cam\u00e9ra aux caract\u00e9ristiques impressionnantes pr\u00e9vue pour fonctionner pendant une d\u00e9cennie. L&#8217;ensemble p\u00e8se pr\u00e8s de trois tonnes et a la taille d&#8217;une petite voiture. Une image de 9,6 degr\u00e9s carr\u00e9s (soit 37 fois la taille de la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/11\/04\/pleine-lune-chasseurs-chateau-de-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pleine Lune<\/a>) sera r\u00e9alis\u00e9e toutes les 20 secondes. Pour afficher ce clich\u00e9 en plein format, nous aurions besoin de 1.500 \u00e9crans de t\u00e9l\u00e9vision haute d\u00e9finition ! Trois nuits suffiront pour photographier la totalit\u00e9 de la vo\u00fbte c\u00e9leste. Objectif : limiter le bruit thermique qui viendrait alt\u00e9rer la qualit\u00e9 des images. En outre six filtres permettront de photographier le ciel de l&#8217;infrarouge \u00e0 l&#8217;ultraviolet.
