Elles sont num\u00e9rot\u00e9es dans l\u2019ordre d\u2019apparition, le num\u00e9ro \u00e9tant pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 par les lettres AR qui signifient\u00a0<em>Active Region<\/em>. Depuis fin 2019, date \u00e0 laquelle on a assist\u00e9 au changement de polarit\u00e9 du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/breves\/soleil-explosions-magnetiques-inconnues-surface-soleil-1700\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">magn\u00e9tisme du Soleil<\/a>, nous sommes dans un nouveau cycle solaire, le vingt-cinqui\u00e8me. L\u2019activit\u00e9 de ce nouveau cycle se r\u00e9v\u00e8le beaucoup plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e que ce que les simulations pr\u00e9voyaient. Pour cela, il suffit de se rendre sur la page du satellite solaire <a href=\"http:\/\/sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov\/sunspots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SOHO<\/a>\u00a0(<em>SOlar and Heliospheric Observatory<\/em>).<\/li>\n<li>C\u2019est <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/01\/06\/galilee-le-savant-qui-a-ouvert-nos-yeux-sur-lunivers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Galil\u00e9e<\/a> qui le premier observa des taches solaires avec une <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/05\/05\/bien-choisir-sa-premiere-lunette-astronomique\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lunette astronomique<\/a> en 1612. Heinrich Schwabe remarqua la p\u00e9riodicit\u00e9 de ces taches en 1848.
