Ce curieux mouvement est parfaitement illustr\u00e9 par un montage de <a href=\"https:\/\/davidemascoliastrophoto.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Davide Mascoli<\/a>. L&#8217;astrophotographe italien a imag\u00e9 r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2022\/12\/12\/fascinant-le-telescope-hubble-nous-invite-a-zoomer-sur-jupiter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jupiter<\/a> au milieu des constellations entre juin et ao\u00fbt 2022. C&#8217;est la caract\u00e9ristique premi\u00e8re des plan\u00e8tes, dont le nom vient du grec ancien, <strong><em>plan\u1ebft\u00eas<\/em><\/strong>, qui signifie astre errant. Mais un demi-tour de la plan\u00e8te pose question : que s&#8217;est-il pass\u00e9 ?<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>\u00a0 Mod\u00e8le g\u00e9ocentrique :<\/h5>\n<p>Ce d\u00e9placement en arri\u00e8re, appel\u00e9 mouvement r\u00e9trograde, a perturb\u00e9 les observateurs de l&#8217;Antiquit\u00e9. \u00c0 leur \u00e9poque, c&#8217;est le mod\u00e8le g\u00e9ocentrique qui pr\u00e9valait : on pensait que la Terre occupait le centre de l&#8217;Univers. Les astres tournant autour, on devait donc logiquement les voir tous se d\u00e9placer d&#8217;Est en Ouest. Pour expliquer les demi-tours plan\u00e9taires, des astronomes comme Ptol\u00e9m\u00e9e ont alors imagin\u00e9 de placer les plan\u00e8tes sur des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lelivrescolaire.fr\/page\/7208912\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00e9picycles<\/a>, de petits cercles tournant sur de plus grands cercles\u00a0 :<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/02\/epicycle.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[17500]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-17502\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/02\/epicycle-450x364.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/02\/epicycle-450x364.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/02\/epicycle.jpg 509w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mais au fil du temps, ce mod\u00e8le g\u00e9om\u00e9trique ne parvenait plus \u00e0 expliquer les mouvements observ\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<h5>Mod\u00e8le h\u00e9liocentrique :<\/h5>\n<p>Formul\u00e9 au XVIe si\u00e8cle par <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2018\/12\/15\/paysages-lunaires-a-explorer-11-copernic-le-magnifique\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nicolas Copernic<\/a>, le mod\u00e8le h\u00e9liocentrique va permettre d&#8217;expliquer ce curieux mouvement r\u00e9trograde. Le <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2023\/02\/08\/taches-solaires-visibles-au-lever-du-soleil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soleil<\/a> prend alors place au centre du syst\u00e8me et les plan\u00e8tes tournent autour.
