Par d\u00e9finition une magn\u00e9tosph\u00e8re n&#8217;est observable autour d&#8217;un astre qu&#8217;en pr\u00e9sence d&#8217;un champ magn\u00e9tique. La magn\u00e9tosph\u00e8re des com\u00e8tes est diff\u00e9rente\u00a0: quand un astre chevelu s&#8217;approche du <a title=\"Le Soleil dans la mer\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2014\/05\/07\/soleil-mer\/\" target=\"_blank\">Soleil<\/a>, il se met \u00e0 d\u00e9gazer, cr\u00e9ant une sorte \u00ab\u00a0d&#8217;atmosph\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb autour du noyau. Cette enveloppe gazeuse (dont les particules sont ionis\u00e9es par le vent solaire) devient de plus en plus dense au fur et \u00e0 mesure que la com\u00e8te s&#8217;approche du Soleil jusqu&#8217;au moment o\u00f9 ce bouclier parvient \u00e0 repousser les particules \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques solaires, g\u00e9n\u00e9rant une onde de choc.<\/p>\n<p>Si Giotto a pu enregistrer cette onde de choc en 1986 (la com\u00e8te de Halley \u00e9tant au plus pr\u00e8s de notre \u00e9toile au moment de sa rencontre avec la sonde), la mission Rosetta nous permet aujourd&#8217;hui d&#8217;assister en direct \u00e0 la formation de ce bouclier et d&#8217;en suivre le d\u00e9veloppement jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9t\u00e9 prochain, quand la com\u00e8te 67P\/Churyumov-Gerasimenko passera \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du <a title=\"Coucher de Soleil tach\u00e9\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2014\/08\/04\/coucher-soleil-tache\/\" target=\"_blank\">Soleil <\/a>(\u00e0 un peu plus d&#8217;une unit\u00e9 astronomique).<\/p>\n<p>D&#8217;ici l\u00e0 Rosetta devrait continuer \u00e0 nous livrer des informations sur la com\u00e8te 67P, notamment le 14 f\u00e9vrier prochain : l&#8217;orbiteur passera \u00e0 seulement 6 km de l&#8217;astre chevelu, traversant \u00e0 cette occasion la coma, cette chevelure de gaz et de poussi\u00e8re qui entoure le noyau.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La sonde europ\u00e9enne Rosetta continue de nous faire d\u00e9couvrir les \u00e9tonnantes particularit\u00e9s de la com\u00e8te 67P\/Churyumov-Gerasimenko (Tchouri pour les intimes) sur laquelle on esp\u00e8re toujours voir se r\u00e9veiller le module Philae.
