En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, les astronomes n&#8217;ont d&#8217;yeux que pour <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2021\/03\/16\/conseils-realisez-votre-premiere-photo-de-la-nebuleuse-dorion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Messier 42<\/a>, la plus belle n\u00e9buleuse du ciel nocturne. Il leur suffirait pourtant de pointer leur t\u00e9lescope sept degr\u00e9s plus bas pour d\u00e9couvrir IC 418. Une autre option consiste \u00e0 feuilleter les archives photographiques du t\u00e9lescope Hubble. La n\u00e9buleuse du Spirographe y d\u00e9voile ses curieuses volutes gazeuses (<a href=\"https:\/\/esahubble.org\/images\/opo0028a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ici<\/a>).<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>\u00c9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re n\u00e9buleuse :<\/h5>\n<p>L&#8217;astre que nous voyons au centre de la n\u00e9buleuse IC 418 est une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/etoile-naine-blanche-exceptionnelle-aussi-petite-lune-92290\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">naine blanche<\/a>. Il y a quelques millions d&#8217;ann\u00e9es, c&#8217;\u00e9tait une \u00e9toile assez semblable \u00e0 notre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/questions-reponses\/astronomie-soleil-notre-etoile-va-t-elle-mourir-9545\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soleil<\/a>. Apr\u00e8s avoir transform\u00e9 tout son hydrog\u00e8ne en h\u00e9lium, elle s&#8217;est mise \u00e0 gonfler pour devenir une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-geante-rouge-3731\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">g\u00e9ante rouge<\/a>. La lumi\u00e8re de la naine blanche suffit \u00e0 faire briller l&#8217;ensemble. Mais ce spectacle ne durera qu&#8217;un temps. Le gaz va se diluer dans l&#8217;espace, tandis que l&#8217;\u00e9toile continuera de se refroidir.
