Sa <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">magnitude<\/a> variant de 6 \u00e0 9, elle n&#8217;est m\u00eame pas visible \u00e0 l&#8217;\u0153il nu. Il s&#8217;agit pourtant d&#8217;une des \u00e9toiles les plus brillantes de notre Galaxie, la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/voie-lactee-astronomes-viennent-decouvrir-nouveau-secret-voie-lactee-97816\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Voie lact\u00e9e<\/a>. Son rayonnement est un million de fois sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui du <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2022\/05\/11\/spectaculaire-lever-de-soleil-sur-le-cratere-lunaire-clavius\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soleil<\/a> ! On a beau utiliser le plus fort grossissement disponible, impossible d&#8217;obtenir plus de d\u00e9tails. Mais si vous avez le privil\u00e8ge de pouvoir utiliser un grand t\u00e9lescope install\u00e9 dans l&#8217;espace, il en va tout autrement.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Portrait d\u00e9taill\u00e9 :<\/h5>\n<p>En 2021, \u00e0 l&#8217;occasion de son <a href=\"https:\/\/esahubble.org\/images\/heic2105a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trente-et-uni\u00e8me anniversaire<\/a>, le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre t\u00e9lescope spatial Hubble a immortalis\u00e9 l&#8217;\u00e9tonnante beaut\u00e9 de <em>AG Carinae<\/em>. On y d\u00e9couvre l&#8217;astre entour\u00e9 d&#8217;une n\u00e9buleuse, probablement le reliquat d&#8217;une explosion survenue il y a 10.000 ans. Car tout comme sa voisine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/supernova-grande-eruption-eta-carinae-a-ete-modelisee-nasa-aide-hubble-chandra-96414\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Eta Carinae<\/em><\/a>, AG Car fait partie de la famille des variables lumineuses bleues (en anglais : <em>Luminous Blue Variable (star)<\/em> ou\u00a0LBV) :<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Animation of AG Carinae\" width=\"474\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/k8FwIypF4KA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Il s&#8217;agit d&#8217;\u00e9toiles variables hyperg\u00e9antes bleues tr\u00e8s lumineuses, qui se caract\u00e9risent par de lentes variations de luminosit\u00e9. De temps \u00e0 autre, elles recrachent autour d&#8217;elles des bouff\u00e9es de mati\u00e8re, condition indispensable pour perdre un peu de masse et maintenir leur \u00e9quilibre hydrostatique. Car ces astres m\u00e8nent un combat permanent pour rester stables, entre pression de rayonnement (venant de l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur) et gravit\u00e9.
