Elle s&#8217;est form\u00e9e il y a plus de 12.000 ans dans la constellation australe du <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Compas_(constellation)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Compas<\/a>. Lorsqu\u2019une \u00e9toile g\u00e9ante rouge arrive en fin de vie, elle explose. En projetant dans l\u2019espace ses couches externes,\u00a0 elle cr\u00e9e une bulle gazeuse en expansion. Le gaz de la n\u00e9buleuse se met \u00e0 briller sous l&#8217;action du puissant rayonnement ultraviolet \u00e9mis par l&#8217;astre g\u00e9niteur. C&#8217;est ce qui explique l&#8217;existence \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re (\u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9chelle de l&#8217;Univers) des n\u00e9buleuses plan\u00e9taires : quelques dizaines de milliers d&#8217;ann\u00e9es tout au plus. <!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>\u00c9toile centrale br\u00fblante :<\/h5>\n<p>Les n\u00e9buleuses plan\u00e9taires ont une grande diversit\u00e9 de formes. L&#8217;expansion du gaz peut \u00eatre contrari\u00e9e par la pr\u00e9sence d&#8217;\u00e9toiles compagnes ou d&#8217;exoplan\u00e8tes. La vitesse de rotation de l&#8217;\u00e9toile g\u00e9ante rouge d&#8217;origine peut \u00e9galement d\u00e9terminer la forme de la NP. Mais les astronomes ont pu d\u00e9duire sa temp\u00e9rature en \u00e9tudiant la composition de la n\u00e9buleuse, riche en h\u00e9lium et en azote. Le r\u00e9sultat est impressionnant : plus de 130.000\u00b0C ! Malgr\u00e9 cette temp\u00e9rature torride, l&#8217;\u00e9toile est vou\u00e9e \u00e0 se refroidir r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement pendant des milliers d&#8217;ann\u00e9es.
