Les astronomes amateurs pourront tenter de le rep\u00e9rer cette ann\u00e9e.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>Un couple stellaire \u00e9tonnant :<\/h5>\n<p>Pas facile de vivre en couple avec une star, comme le prouve Sirius B, une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-naine-blanche-28\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">naine blanche<\/a> de<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> magnitude<\/a> 8,4. Invisible \u00e0 l&#8217;\u0153il nu, elle tourne en un peu plus de 50 ann\u00e9es autour de sa c\u00e9l\u00e8bre et \u00e9clatante voisine, Sirius A. Cette derni\u00e8re, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2020\/02\/17\/cest-le-moment-dadmirer-sirius-la-plus-brillante-etoile-du-ciel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Alpha Canis Majoris<\/em><\/a>, est en effet la plus brillante \u00e9toile du ciel nocturne (magnitude -1,5). Dans l&#8217;\u00c9gypte antique, son apparition \u00e0 la fin de l&#8217;\u00e9t\u00e9 marquait le d\u00e9but des crues du Nil. Une situation qui pourrait \u00e9voluer, puisque le discret compagnon est actuellement au plus loin de son \u00e9clatant voisin stellaire.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Comment relever le d\u00e9fi :<\/h5>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e9cart entre Sirius A et B varie entre 3 et 11 secondes d&#8217;arc sur un cycle d&#8217;une cinquantaine d&#8217;ann\u00e9es. Cela repr\u00e9sente une s\u00e9paration r\u00e9elle qui oscille entre 8,1 et 31,5 UA (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-unite-astronomique-63\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unit\u00e9s Astronomiques<\/a>). Actuellement, les deux astres sont \u00e0 leur distance maximale, le bon moment pour tenter de rep\u00e9rer la naine blanche. Le probl\u00e8me vient de l&#8217;astre principal dont la luminosit\u00e9 occulte les astres faibles autour ! Pour r\u00e9ussir ce challenge, il faut mettre tous les atouts de votre c\u00f4t\u00e9. Le t\u00e9lescope (20 centim\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre semble un minimum, mais rien n&#8217;emp\u00eache d&#8217;essayer avec moins) doit \u00eatre parfaitement r\u00e9gl\u00e9. Ajoutez-y un fort grossissement pour vous permettre de faire sortir Sirius du champ (son compagnon se trouve au Nord-Est). Comme le montre la repr\u00e9sentation ci-dessus, Sirius B va rester plusieurs ann\u00e9es \u00e0 bonne distance de <em>Alpha Canis Majoris<\/em>. Vous aurez donc tout le loisir de retenter l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience.
