La n\u00e9buleuse de l&#8217;Hippocampe (Barnard 150) en fait partie, tout comme plusieurs amas d&#8217;\u00e9toiles. Parmi eux, Palomar 1, premi\u00e8re d\u00e9couverte r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en 1954 par le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/astronomie-observatoire-mont-palomar-4769\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">t\u00e9lescope am\u00e9ricain de 5 m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre<\/a>, est le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre. Mais revenons \u00e0 Barnard 150, l&#8217;un des 182 objets du catalogue de l&#8217;astronome <a href=\"http:\/\/phys-astro.sonoma.edu\/brucemedalists\/edward-e-barnard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Edward E. S&#8217;\u00e9tirant sur un degr\u00e9 apparent, \u00e9quivalent \u00e0 deux fois la surface de la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2020\/06\/06\/spectaculaire-la-pleine-lune-en-vase-etrusque-sur-locean\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pleine Lune<\/a>, B150 se d\u00e9coupe devant le fond \u00e9toil\u00e9 de la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2021\/10\/11\/le-volcan-chilien-villarrica-en-activite-sous-la-voie-lactee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Voie Lact\u00e9e<\/a>. Treize heures de poses ont \u00e9t\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 l&#8217;astrophotographe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myastroscience.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sergio Kaminsky<\/a> pour d\u00e9voiler la beaut\u00e9 de cette discr\u00e8te n\u00e9buleuse. <!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Pouponni\u00e8res obscures :<\/h5>\n<p>Sur les photographies astronomiques, nous sommes souvent en admiration devant les n\u00e9buleuses color\u00e9es, comme la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2021\/03\/16\/conseils-realisez-votre-premiere-photo-de-la-nebuleuse-dorion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">n\u00e9buleuse d&#8217;Orion<\/a>. Ce sont des nuages interstellaires dont le gaz (principalement de l&#8217;hydrog\u00e8ne) est ionis\u00e9 par le rayonnement ultraviolet \u00e9mis par de jeunes \u00e9toiles. Mais il existe aussi des nuages interstellaires sombres beaucoup plus froids. Alors que la temp\u00e9rature d&#8217;un nuage ionis\u00e9 peut atteindre 10.000 K, celle d&#8217;un nuage mol\u00e9culaire sombre n&#8217;est que de 10 K. Rappelons au passage que 0 K (Kelvin) \u00e9quivaut au z\u00e9ro absolu, la temp\u00e9rature la plus basse qui puisse exister. Mais sombre ne veut pas dire mort. Gr\u00e2ce aux observations en infrarouge, on a pu mettre en \u00e9vidence la pr\u00e9sence de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/astronomie-protoetoile-11767\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">proto\u00e9toiles<\/a>. Dans la n\u00e9buleuse de l&#8217;Hippocampe, ces pouponni\u00e8res stellaires nichent dans trois nuages obscurs, LDN 1082 A, B et C.
