Avec Mrk 739, nous avons l&#8217;impression que deux yeux lumineux nous observent.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>Une galaxie tr\u00e8s active :<\/h5>\n<p>Mrk 739 se trouve dans la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/05\/15\/jolie-constellation-lion-accueille-jupiter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">constellation du Lion<\/a>, \u00e0 plus de 400 millions d&#8217;ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re. Cette galaxie (de <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">magnitude<\/a> 10) fait partie du catalogue de Benjamin Markarian (1913-1985). L&#8217;astronome arm\u00e9nien s&#8217;est beaucoup int\u00e9ress\u00e9 aux galaxies actives au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1960. Mais il est surtout connu pour avoir donn\u00e9 son nom \u00e0 un groupe de 8 galaxies. La <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psaltery.org\/wordpress\/portfolio\/chaine-de-markarian\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cha\u00eene de Markarian<\/a> est observable entre les constellations de la Vierge et de la Chevelure de B\u00e9r\u00e9nice. Ces derni\u00e8res pr\u00e9sentent un noyau tr\u00e8s lumineux en raison de l&#8217;activit\u00e9 d&#8217;un trou noir supermassif. Beaucoup plus proche de nous, la galaxie lenticulaire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/astronomie-regard-plus-profond-galaxie-centaurus-38782\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centaurus A<\/a> en est un parfait exemple. Et c&#8217;est \u00e9galement le cas de Messier 87, la galaxie qui nous a offert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/univers-premiere-image-trou-noir-supermassif-commentaires-aurelien-barrau-51210\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">la premi\u00e8re image d&#8217;un trou noir supermassif<\/a>.\u00a0 \u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Deux noyaux, deux galaxies :<\/h5>\n<p>D\u00e9couverte en 1874 par l&#8217;astronome britannique <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ericpercival.co.uk\/Copeland\/Ralph%20Copeland.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ralph Copeland<\/a>, Mrk 739 (appel\u00e9e aussi NGC 3758) a la particularit\u00e9 de nous pr\u00e9senter deux noyaux brillants. C&#8217;est en fait le r\u00e9sultat de la fusion de deux galaxies. Leurs deux noyaux contiennent chacun un trou noir supermassif.
