Cette collision de galaxies de <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">magnitude<\/a> 15 ne r\u00e9v\u00e8le sa beaut\u00e9 qu&#8217;\u00e0 travers un clich\u00e9 pris par le <a href=\"https:\/\/esahubble.org\/images\/heic0810ae\/?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">t\u00e9lescope spatial Hubble<\/a>. Mais pourquoi Arp ? Parce que l&#8217;objet est r\u00e9f\u00e9renc\u00e9 dans l&#8217;<em>Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies<\/em>, un catalogue de 338 galaxies particuli\u00e8res publi\u00e9 en 1966 par Halton Arp. Cette collision titanesque a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverte en 1940 par l&#8217;astronome am\u00e9ricain Nicholas Mayall (1906-1993). Ce qui vaut \u00e0 Arp 148 de s&#8217;appeler \u00e9galement l&#8217;objet de Mayall. On observe actuellement une galaxie \u00e0 anneau constitu\u00e9e de jeunes \u00e9toiles bleues tr\u00e8s brillantes et une galaxie irr\u00e9guli\u00e8re allong\u00e9e. De la poussi\u00e8re sombre et des \u00e9toiles plus \u00e2g\u00e9es composent la seconde.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>\u00c0 savoir :<\/h5>\n<p>La Grande Ourse est une constellation circumpolaire comme celle de\u00a0<a title=\"La constellation de Cassiop\u00e9e\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2014\/09\/25\/constellation-cassiopee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cassiop\u00e9e<\/a>. Cela signifie qu\u2019elle ne se couche jamais pour un observateur situ\u00e9 aux latitudes de la France. Elle fait partie des 48 constellations identifi\u00e9es par l\u2019astronome grec <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/personnalites\/astronomie-claudius-ptolemee-723\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Claude Ptol\u00e9m\u00e9e<\/a>. Bien que tr\u00e8s \u00e9tendue, cette constellation est souvent r\u00e9duite \u00e0 ses sept \u00e9toiles les plus brillantes. Leur disposition \u00e9voque une grande casserole ou un grand chariot.
