Prenez la n\u00e9buleuse en \u00e9mission IC 410, situ\u00e9e \u00e0 12.000 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re. Elle \u00e9tait beaucoup trop faible pour \u00eatre per\u00e7ue dans l&#8217;instrument de John Herschel (le neveu de <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2021\/02\/03\/portrait-caroline-herschel-astronome-de-lombre-a-la-lumiere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caroline Herschel<\/a>). En observant la constellation du Cocher en 1827, cet astronome britannique n&#8217;a d\u00e9couvert qu&#8217;un amas d&#8217;\u00e9toiles, NGC 1893, de <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">magnitude<\/a> 7. Les longues poses photographiques et l&#8217;\u00e9volution des capteurs ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 des d\u00e9tails insoup\u00e7onn\u00e9s, comme deux t\u00eatards cosmiques (ou des spermatozo\u00efdes&#8230;). <!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Sculptures poussi\u00e9reuses :<\/h5>\n<p>IC 410 est une n\u00e9buleuse en \u00e9mission, un \u00e9norme nuage mol\u00e9culaire d&#8217;environ 100 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re de diam\u00e8tre. Si ce nuage brille, c&#8217;est parce que ses atomes sont excit\u00e9s par le rayonnement des \u00e9toiles de l&#8217;amas NGC 1893. Ces jeunes astres, \u00e2g\u00e9s de 4 millions d&#8217;ann\u00e9es seulement, crachent de forts vents stellaires qui sculptent \u00e9galement deux t\u00eatards cosmiques. Ce sont de curieuses structures constitu\u00e9es de gaz et de poussi\u00e8re plus denses. Elles mesurent environ 10 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re.
