Depuis, elle s&#8217;\u00e9loigne et ne reviendra pas dans d&#8217;aussi bonnes conditions avant le mois de d\u00e9cembre 2022. Bien que son diam\u00e8tre apparent ne cesse de diminuer nuit apr\u00e8s nuit, les astronomes amateurs (comme <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/phiphil05\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Philippe Mouniguet<\/a>) continuent de l&#8217;observer et de la photographier. Une t\u00e9nacit\u00e9 qui paie : ils ont rep\u00e9r\u00e9 de spectaculaires modifications du paysage.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12920\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12920\" style=\"width: 377px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2020\/11\/mars8.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[12904]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12920\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2020\/11\/mars8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"377\" height=\"311\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12920\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Des zones anormalement claires r\u00e9v\u00e8lent l\u2019apparition d\u2019une temp\u00eate de sable sur Mars. Clich\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 le 17 novembre par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/phiphil05\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Philippe Mouniguet<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e9claircissement de la r\u00e9gion de <em>Valles Marineris<\/em> trahit la formation d&#8217;une temp\u00eate de sable. Un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne m\u00e9t\u00e9orologique dont ils vont pouvoir suivre l&#8217;\u00e9volution.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Une cicatrice g\u00e9ante :<\/h5>\n<p><em>Valles Marineris<\/em> est le plus grand canyon du Syst\u00e8me solaire. Long de pr\u00e8s de 4.000 kilom\u00e8tres, il cisaille la Plan\u00e8te rouge au niveau de l&#8217;\u00e9quateur. Il atteint par endroits une profondeur de 10 kilom\u00e8tres. Il doit son nom \u00e0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpl.nasa.gov\/missions\/mariner-9-mariner-i\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mariner 9<\/a>, la sonde am\u00e9ricaine qui le photographia pour la premi\u00e8re fois au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1970. Habituellement, <em>Valles Marineris <\/em>se pr\u00e9sente comme une balafre\u00a0 fonc\u00e9e sur les images de Mars. Valles Marineris appara\u00eet comme une cicatrice sombre au centre du disque. \u00a9 Damian Peach<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h5>Coup de vent violent :<\/h5>\n<p>Mais depuis le 15 novembre, la r\u00e9gion ne cesse de s&#8217;\u00e9claircir. Plusieurs astrophotographes ont remarqu\u00e9 sur leurs clich\u00e9s une zone claire qui s&#8217;\u00e9tend progressivement, \u00e0 ne pas confondre avec le point brillant de la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2020\/09\/09\/mars-la-fonte-de-la-calotte-polaire-vue-par-les-amateurs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">calotte polaire sud<\/a>. Gr\u00e2ce aux images plus d\u00e9taill\u00e9es acquises par l&#8217;astrophotographe australien <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2020\/10\/06\/au-plus-pres-de-la-terre-mars-nous-devoile-olympus-mons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anthony Wesley<\/a> (ci-dessous), on peut constater que la temp\u00eate de poussi\u00e8re se d\u00e9veloppe dans <em>Valles Marineris<\/em> (le canyon est devenu jaune p\u00e2le) et s&#8217;\u00e9tend progressivement dans l&#8217;h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud au-dessus de <em>Solis Planum<\/em> et <em>Aonia Terra<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2020\/11\/mars4.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[12904]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-12909\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2020\/11\/mars4-407x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"407\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2020\/11\/mars4-407x450.jpg 407w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2020\/11\/mars4.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 407px) 100vw, 407px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>La temp\u00eate prendra-t-elle de l&#8217;ampleur ? C&#8217;est assez peu probable.
