Pour saisir la plan\u00e8te Mars le 30 octobre, il a utilis\u00e9 un t\u00e9lescope \u00e0 distance. Un instrument de l&#8217;observatoire <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chilescope.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chilescope<\/a> dont le miroir mesure 1 m\u00e8tre de diam\u00e8tre. En profitant d&#8217;une atmosph\u00e8re stable, D. C\u2019est \u00e0 la surface de cette couche de glace carbonique que la cam\u00e9ra de MRO (<a href=\"https:\/\/mars.nasa.gov\/mro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter<\/em><\/a>)a saisi <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2020\/10\/14\/planete-mars-spectaculaire-image-de-la-calotte-polaire-sud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">d&#8217;incroyables motifs<\/a> compos\u00e9s de sable m\u00e9lang\u00e9 \u00e0 la glace.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Brumes, volcans et canyons :<\/h5>\n<p>Sur la droite du clich\u00e9, au milieu des brumes matinales, \u00e9mergent 3 sommets. <em>Ascraeus Mons<\/em> (18.225 m), <em>Pavonis Mons<\/em> (14.058 m) et <em>Arsia Mons<\/em> (17.761 m) constituent la cha\u00eene de volcans de <em>Tharsis Montes<\/em>. Au centre on rep\u00e8re une tr\u00e8s longue cicatrice \u00e9quatoriale. Il s&#8217;agit de <em>Valles Marineris<\/em>, un immense canyon qui court sur 3.800 km.
