Il semble que les astronomes de l&#8217;Empire du Milieu \u00e9taient d\u00e9j\u00e0 particuli\u00e8rement actifs il y a plus de 4.000 ans. Pr\u00e9diction des \u00e9clipses, observation de ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes c\u00e9lestes marquants (com\u00e8tes, novae&#8230;), cr\u00e9ation d&#8217;un calendrier luni-solaire, d\u00e9coupage du ciel en constellations, autant d&#8217;avanc\u00e9es \u00e0 mettre \u00e0 l&#8217;actif des astronomes imp\u00e9riaux. Un patrimoine scientifique qui a travers\u00e9 le temps gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la manie qu&#8217;avaient les Chinois de consigner toutes leurs observations. Le <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/01\/17\/vlt-observatoire-desert-atacama\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Very Large Telescope<\/em><\/a> a permis d&#8217;en retrouver les restes un peu plus de 2.000 ans apr\u00e8s.\u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>MUSE fait des merveilles :<\/h5>\n<p><span id=\"more-2059\"><\/span>Pour analyser la lumi\u00e8re des astres lointains, les astronomes ont imagin\u00e9 il y a quelques ann\u00e9es un concept r\u00e9volutionnaire\u00a0: un spectrographe int\u00e9gral de champ ou spectrographe 3D, qui soit \u00e0 la fois un spectrographe et un imageur capable de fournir un spectre de toute source lumineuse pr\u00e9sente dans le champ de l\u2019instrument.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est ainsi qu\u2019est n\u00e9\u00a0<a title=\"MUSE\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eso.org\/sci\/facilities\/develop\/instruments\/muse.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MUSE\u00a0<\/a>(<em>Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer<\/em>), un monstre de 5 tonnes r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par 7 grands laboratoires europ\u00e9ens. J.-C. a \u00e9t\u00e9 retrouv\u00e9e par le VLT sous la forme d&#8217;un nuage de gaz dans l&#8217;amas M 22. \u00a9 ESA\/Hubble et NASA, F. G\u00f6ttgens (IAG)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h5>Restes de nova :<\/h5>\n<p>MUSE, qui a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 sa premi\u00e8re image en juillet 2014, a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis \u00e0 contribution pour scruter Messier 22. Cet amas globulaire (<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">magnitude<\/a> 5,2) se situe dans la <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/12\/25\/eso-593-ig-008-la-fee-clochette-dans-le-sagittaire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">constellation du Sagittaire<\/a> \u00e0 un peu plus de 10.000 ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re. Les astronomes ont retrouv\u00e9 dans ce groupe d&#8217;\u00e9toiles une n\u00e9buleuse de gaz chaud compos\u00e9e d&#8217;hydrog\u00e8ne (d&#8217;o\u00f9 sa couleur rouge). Elle trahit l&#8217;explosion de la couche externe d&#8217;une \u00e9toile, un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne assez lumineux pour \u00eatre observable \u00e0 l&#8217;\u0153il nu qui se serait produit il y a environ 2.000 ans.
