L&#8217;astre en question fut nomm\u00e9 C\/2019 Q4 dans un premier temps. Puis on calcula les param\u00e8tres orbitaux : ils r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e8rent que cet astre chevelu venait de l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur du Syst\u00e8me solaire. La com\u00e8te interstellaire en question fut ensuite rebaptis\u00e9e 2I\/Borisov. Le 12 octobre 2019 le t\u00e9lescope spatial Hubble nous d\u00e9voilait <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/breves\/comete-interstellaire-comete-interstellaire-2i-borisov-photographiee-hubble-1332\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">en images<\/a> cette \u00e9tonnante visiteuse qui passionne les astronomes.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Animation of Comet 2I\/Borisov\" width=\"474\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tPHuu_DQj84?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em><strong>Images de la com\u00e8te 2I\/Borisov prises le 12 octobre 2019 par le t\u00e9lescope spatial Hubble. \u00a9 Nasa\/ESA\/D. Jewitt (UCLA)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Une r\u00e9cente \u00e9tude publi\u00e9e sur <a href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/1911.05902\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">arXiv<\/a> r\u00e9v\u00e8le que la com\u00e8te interstellaire est pr\u00e9sente sur plusieurs clich\u00e9s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s avant la date de sa d\u00e9couverte officielle.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Premi\u00e8re d\u00e9tection en d\u00e9cembre 2018 :<\/h5>\n<p>Lorsque G. Borisov a d\u00e9couvert sa com\u00e8te, elle se trouvait environ \u00e0 3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-unite-astronomique-63\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Unit\u00e9s astronomiques<\/a> (UA) du Soleil. Une \u00e9quipe dirig\u00e9e par Quanzhi Ye de l&#8217;<a href=\"https:\/\/umd.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Universit\u00e9 du Maryland<\/a> a eu l&#8217;id\u00e9e de rechercher \u00e0 l&#8217;aide d&#8217;un logiciel des traces ant\u00e9rieures de l&#8217;astre chevelu. Ils ont analys\u00e9 pour cela un peu plus de 200 images correspondant \u00e0 l&#8217;orbite pass\u00e9e de la com\u00e8te. Ces clich\u00e9s provenaient de 3 r\u00e9seaux de t\u00e9lescopes automatiques : <a href=\"https:\/\/catalina.lpl.arizona.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Catalina Sky Survey<\/em><\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/panstarrs.stsci.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Pan-STARRS<\/em><\/a> et le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ztf.caltech.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Zwicky Transient Facility<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11452\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11452\" style=\"width: 450px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/11\/borisov.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[11450]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-11452\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/11\/borisov-450x291.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/11\/borisov-450x291.jpg 450w, https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/11\/borisov.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11452\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Premi\u00e8res d\u00e9tections de la com\u00e8te 2I\/Borisov plusieurs mois avant sa d\u00e9couverte. \u00a9 Quanzhi Ye\/Catalina Sky Survey\/Pan-STARRS\/Zwicky Transient Facility<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>La plus ancienne d\u00e9tection remonte au 13 d\u00e9cembre 2018. 2I\/Borisov \u00e9tait alors \u00e0 8 UA du Soleil. On retrouve ensuite la com\u00e8te sur plusieurs images r\u00e9alis\u00e9es d\u00e9but 2019. Par contre elle est invisible sur les clich\u00e9s du mois de novembre. Ces r\u00e9sultats permettent de fournir des informations suppl\u00e9mentaires sur cet astre chevelu :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>la taille de son noyau ne peut exc\u00e9der 7 kilom\u00e8tres (sinon il aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 rep\u00e9r\u00e9 sur les images du mois de novembre 2018)<\/li>\n<li>la com\u00e8te serait devenue active (sublimation de la glace sous l&#8217;action du rayonnement solaire) entre 5 et 7 UA. C&#8217;est un comportement similaire \u00e0 ce qu&#8217;on observe sur les com\u00e8tes du Syst\u00e8me solaire<\/li>\n<li>la surface active sur la com\u00e8te serait comprise entre 0,5 et 10 km\u00b2<\/li>\n<li>enfin ces diff\u00e9rentes images permettent d&#8217;affiner les calculs de la trajectoire de 2I\/Borisov<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>\u00c0 savoir :<\/h5>\n<p>Plusieurs \u00e9quipes d&#8217;astronomes \u00e9tudient 2I\/Borisov. \u00c0 l&#8217;aide de spectrographes install\u00e9s sur de grands t\u00e9lescopes ils ont analys\u00e9 la composition chimique de la com\u00e8te. Comme expliqu\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/objet-interstellaire-comete-interstellaire-2i-borisov-ressemble-beaucoup-celles-notre-systeme-solaire-77559\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dans cet article<\/a>, ils ont d\u00e9tect\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sence de mol\u00e9cules CN ainsi que celles du carbone diatomique (C2). L&#8217;estimation du rapport des abondances de ces deux mol\u00e9cules s&#8217;est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 comparable \u00e0 celui observ\u00e9 dans une famille de com\u00e8tes associ\u00e9es \u00e0 <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2019\/11\/08\/saisissante-image-des-deux-anticyclones-geants-de-jupiter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jupiter<\/a>.
