Son plus haut sommet est un cryovolcan, <em>Ahuna Mons<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Plan\u00e8te naine la plus proche de nous,\u00a0 C\u00e9r\u00e8s occupe une place particuli\u00e8re dans le Syst\u00e8me solaire. En effet elle s&#8217;intercale entre les plan\u00e8tes humides (la Terre et <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/01\/11\/mars-avalanches-de-poussieres-strient-crateres\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mars<\/a>) et les plan\u00e8tes gazeuses comme <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2016\/01\/08\/jupiter-sera-plus-pres-de-terre-deux-mois\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jupiter\u00a0<\/a>et <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2015\/11\/18\/titan-croise-encelade-derriere-les-anneaux-de-saturne\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Saturne<\/a>. Elle a transmis des donn\u00e9es jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 une panne d&#8217;hydrazine fin 2018. La d\u00e9couverte d&#8217;<em>Ahuna Mons<\/em> restera l&#8217;un des grands moments de la mission.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>C&#8217;est au cours des premiers mois de la mission en 2015 que la cam\u00e9ra de la sonde Dawn a permis de rep\u00e9rer <em>Ahuna Mons<\/em> \u00e0 une distance de 1.470 km. La montagne, situ\u00e9e dans l&#8217;h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud de la plan\u00e8te naine, s&#8217;\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 une altitude de 4.000 m\u00e8tres. Son p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre est nettement d\u00e9fini, avec pratiquement pas de d\u00e9bris accumul\u00e9s \u00e0 la base de la pente fortement stri\u00e9e. Les images de cet article ont \u00e9t\u00e9 obtenues en 2016 lors d&#8217;un passage \u00e0 moins de 400 km.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ahuna Mons ver.2 in Anim8or\" width=\"474\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_OvhlXctc9s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Ahuna Mons<\/em> est probablement un volcan de glace ou cryovolcan. Il pourrait avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 suite \u00e0 un impact du c\u00f4t\u00e9 oppos\u00e9 de la plan\u00e8te naine. Les ondes sismiques g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es au cours de cette collision auraient provoqu\u00e9 l&#8217;\u00e9jection de panaches d&#8217;eau sal\u00e9e et de boue, formant ainsi une montagne. Les stries sur les flancs ont sans doutes \u00e9t\u00e9 produites par des \u00e9coulements d&#8217;eau sal\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<h5>\u00c0 savoir :<\/h5>\n<p>C\u00e9r\u00e8s a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverte le 1er janvier 1801 par Giuseppe Piazzi, le directeur de l&#8217;Observatoire de Palerme en Sicile. Elle porte le nom de la d\u00e9esse romaine de l&#8217;agriculture et de la f\u00e9condit\u00e9. C&#8217;est en 2006 que l&#8217;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2019\/01\/10\/lunion-astronomique-internationale-fete-ses-100-ans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Union astronomique internationale<\/a> a reclass\u00e9 C\u00e9r\u00e8s (consid\u00e9r\u00e9e alors comme un ast\u00e9ro\u00efde) dans la famille des plan\u00e8tes naines en raison de sa forme sph\u00e9rique. La <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2017\/05\/06\/quest-lechelle-magnitudes-astronomie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">magnitude<\/a> de C\u00e9r\u00e8s varie de 6,7 (lors du passage au p\u00e9rih\u00e9lie tous les 15 mois environ) \u00e0 9,3.
