Ces immenses vortex ont la particularit\u00e9 d&#8217;\u00eatre observables pendant des d\u00e9cennies, voire des si\u00e8cles pour le plus grand d&#8217;entre eux, la GTR. La Grande Tache rouge fut d\u00e9couverte\u00a0 par l\u2019astronome fran\u00e7ais Jean-Dominique Cassini en 1665. Un petit t\u00e9lescope d&#8217;amateur permet d\u00e9j\u00e0 de l&#8217;admirer. Au printemps 2019 la GTR a connu <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2019\/05\/21\/la-grande-tache-rouge-est-elle-en-train-de-se-desagreger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">d&#8217;importantes modifications<\/a>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>Une Petite Tache rouge d\u00e9lav\u00e9e :<\/h5>\n<p>En dessous de la GTR et l\u00e9g\u00e8rement \u00e0 droite sur ce clich\u00e9 on d\u00e9couvre un second vortex plus clair et un peu moins imposant, l&#8217;ovale BA. Il r\u00e9sulte de la fusion, il y a une vingtaine d&#8217;ann\u00e9es, de trois taches blanches plus petites que l&#8217;on observe depuis 1939. \u00c0 l&#8217;origine l&#8217;ovale BA avait la m\u00eame couleur que la GTR, ce qui lui a valu le surnom de Petite Tache rouge. Mais depuis une quinzaines d&#8217;ann\u00e9es il ne cesse de s&#8217;\u00e9claircir sans que l&#8217;on sache pourquoi.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Fly into the Great Red Spot of Jupiter with NASA\u2019s Juno Mission\" width=\"474\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uj3Lq7Gu94Y?start=4&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>Cette animation spectaculaire cr\u00e9\u00e9e en mod\u00e9lisant les images obtenues par la sonde Juno permet de survoler et de plonger dans la haute atmosph\u00e8re de Jupiter autour de la Grande Tache rouge. \u00a9 NASA<\/em><\/p>\n<h5>Un rapprochement bisannuel :<\/h5>\n<p>Les deux anticyclones g\u00e9ants ne peuvent fusionner : la GTR fait partie du courant tropical\/\u00e9quatorial sud alors que l&#8217;ovale BA se situe dans\u00a0 le courant temp\u00e9r\u00e9 sud qui tourne plus rapidement. Concr\u00e8tement l&#8217;ovale BA passe au sud de la Grande Tache rouge tous les deux ans. Ce fut le cas \u00e0 l&#8217;occasion de cette image r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en d\u00e9cembre 2018.
