Durant cette phase d\u2019inflation toute les distances ont \u00e9t\u00e9 multipli\u00e9es par un facteur consid\u00e9rable, au moins exp(60) et peut-\u00eatre beaucoup plus. Ce mod\u00e8le inflationnaire n\u2019est \u00e9videmment pas certain mais il est tr\u00e8s vraisemblable et soutenu par de nombreuses observations.<\/p>\n<p>Or, dans ce cadre, la formation des structures cosmologiques est expliqu\u00e9 par un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne quantique. Les fluctuations quantiques du champ (dit d&#8217;inflaton) qui emplissait \u00e0 cet \u00e9poque l\u2019Univers induisent des fluctuations quantiques de la m\u00e9trique (c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire de la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie) qui induisent \u00e0 leur tour la formation des galaxies et des amas. La question demeure donc : les fluctuations \u00e0 l\u2019origine des structures de l\u2019Univers sont-elles forc\u00e9ment quantiques ? C\u2019est le cas dans le mod\u00e8le inflationnaire mais ce dernier n\u2019est pas la seule explication possible. Intervient ici une id\u00e9e int\u00e9ressante, due en particulier \u00e0 Juan Maldacena. Elle est li\u00e9e aux in\u00e9galit\u00e9s de Bell.<\/p>\n<p>Ces in\u00e9galit\u00e9s correspondent \u00e0 des relations math\u00e9matiques qui ne peuvent &#8211; de fa\u00e7on grossi\u00e8re &#8211; pas \u00eatre viol\u00e9es pour des syst\u00e8mes classiques mais qui peuvent l\u2019\u00eatre pour des syst\u00e8mes quantiques particuliers &#8211; dits intriqu\u00e9s. Depuis quelques ann\u00e9es l\u2019id\u00e9e fait donc son chemin de chercher dans le rayonnement cosmologique fossile &#8211; c&#8217;est \u00e0 dire dans le ciel ! &#8211; une trace de la violation des in\u00e9galit\u00e9s de Bell : cela assurerait l&#8217;origine quantique de ces fluctuations.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_958\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-958\" style=\"width: 450px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/barrau\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2018\/02\/450px-Bell-test-photon-analyer.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"199\" class=\"size-full wp-image-958\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-958\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Repr\u00e9sentation sch\u00e9matique d&#8217;un test de violation des in\u00e9galit\u00e9s de Bell<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A ce stade les \u00e9tudes publi\u00e9es ne sont pas extr\u00eamement convaincantes au sens o\u00f9 elles en restent \u00e0 des cas purement th\u00e9oriques. Mais elles ont le m\u00e9rite de montrer que la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019une telle exp\u00e9rience n\u2019est pas impossible en principe. Le travail consiste maintenant \u00e0 trouver des observables pr\u00e9cisent qui permettent de mettre en oeuvre ces tests concr\u00e8tement. C\u2019est une t\u00e2che d\u00e9licate mais pas hors de port\u00e9.
