Cette annonce est sujette \u00e0 caution car d\u2019autres d\u00e9tecteurs ne l\u2019ont pas confirm\u00e9e et la position est tr\u00e8s mal mesur\u00e9e avec les deux antennes de LIGO. Si n\u00e9anmoins elle s\u2019av\u00e9rait exacte, elle ouvrirait d\u2019int\u00e9ressantes perspectives.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div>Abraham Loeb, de l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Harvard, a sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 qu\u2019en fait ces deux trous noirs pourraient \u00e9maner d\u2019une unique \u00e9toile tr\u00e8s massive et tournant tr\u00e8s rapidement qui, en implosant, aurait conduit \u00e0 une configuration en \u00ab\u00a0alt\u00e8res\u00a0\u00bb. Les trous noirs \u00e9volueraient alors dans les \u00ab\u00a0restes\u00a0\u00bb de l\u2019\u00e9toile initiale et le sursaut observ\u00e9 viendrait d\u2019un jet \u00e9mis lors de l\u2019accr\u00e9tion de la mati\u00e8re r\u00e9siduelle lors de la coalescence. Voir l&#8217;<a href=\"http:\/\/arxiv.org\/pdf\/1602.04735.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Article d&#8217;Abraham Loeb<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div>\u00c0 mon sens, le mod\u00e8le est encore embryonnaire et sp\u00e9culatif mais il ouvre une perspective tr\u00e8s prometteuse. Si, en effet, des signaux lumineux (des contreparties \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tiques) sont \u00e9mis de fa\u00e7on concomitante aux ondes gravitationnelles cela ent\u00e9rine la possibilit\u00e9s de &#8220;sir\u00e8nes gravitationnelles&#8221;. L\u2019id\u00e9e est la suivante. On peut mesurer pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment la distance qui nous s\u00e9pare d\u2019une source d\u2019ondes gravitationnelles telle que la fusion de deux trous noirs. En effet, l\u2019\u00e9volution de la fr\u00e9quence du signal permet d\u2019\u00e9valuer l\u2019\u00e9nergie gravitationnelle \u00e9mise. Et \u00e0 partir de l\u2019amplitude mesur\u00e9e du signal, on peut donc conna\u00eetre la distance \u00e0 laquelle se d\u00e9roule le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne.
