Surtout, ce grand physicien imagina les oscillations des neutrinos, seulement possibles si ces particules fant\u00f4matiques ont une masse non nulle, oscillations dont l&#8217;observation assez r\u00e9cente a valu \u00e0 Arthur McDonald et Takaaki Kajita d&#8217;\u00eatre les laur\u00e9ats Nobel en 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Cette ann\u00e9e, le d\u00e9bat avec Etienne Klein porta sur la notion de r\u00e9ductionnisme, question qui n&#8217;est pas seulement d&#8217;ordre philosophique, comme l&#8217;a soulign\u00e9 Phil Anderson dans son c\u00e9l\u00e8bre article &#8220;<em>More is different&#8221; <\/em>publi\u00e9 dans<em> Science<\/em> en 1972 o\u00f9 il d\u00e9veloppe des arguments montrant comment cette notion et une autre qu&#8217;il appelle <em>constructivisme<\/em> sont au c\u0153ur de la pratique du physicien ; c&#8217;est leur compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 qui a permis des avanc\u00e9es consid\u00e9rables de la connaissance, notamment en ce qui concerne l&#8217;\u00e9pineux probl\u00e8me des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes critiques.<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Des documents rassemblant diverses contributions \u00e0 cette \u00e9cole d&#8217;\u00e9t\u00e9 sont disponibles sur le site <a href=\"https:\/\/indico.in2p3.fr\/event\/12114\/page\/3\">https:\/\/indico.in2p3.fr\/event\/12114\/page\/3<\/a>, onglet &#8220;Talks&#8221;.
